Greetings from Kihei, Maui, HI!  I consider myself a frequent visitor.  This is my 53rd trip from the midwest in 22 years.   We were stranded on island for three days after the 9/11 attacks.  We have seen changes…businesses come and go, new developments, road improvement projects. The natural glory of Hawaii remains the same.  Pacific Ocean, Haleakala, the expanses of fields in the breath taking valley between Haleakala and the West Maui Mountains.  Both pineapple and sugar cane enterprises have discontinued operations.  Thousands of acres of trees have been planted since 2018 to diversify agriculture.
